Södertälje Stadsscen offers exciting, developmental, and independent work focused on making performing arts and cultural expressions accessible and spreading them. The unit includes the following operations: Performing Arts, Kultur 365, Culture in Preschool/School, and Print Service.

Kultur 365

The activity aims to carry out culture-bearing activities for and with older people and to create new perspectives on how culture, social life, and cultural thinking and practice can enrich seniors and become a natural part of daily life for more people. We want to activate all senses and create touching encounters with art, pedagogy, and technology as tools. Kultur 365 is a collaboration between the Culture and Leisure Office and the Care Office, and we work proactively towards elderly care.

Your Responsibilities

Together with colleagues or on your own, you visit Södertälje Municipality's care and nursing homes and day activities with a prepared program. This can include singing, dancing, or art and take place through, for example, a mixer, a performance, or conversation. As a Cultural Activities Coordinator, you help create the programs in creative processes. You work to ensure that those you meet are activated physically, emotionally, and cognitively based on individual conditions. Experience sharing, supervision, and training of care staff regarding creative activities are part of the work, as well as administrative work such as planning and reporting.

Who are you?

You should enjoy working in a team, as the work is usually done together with others. You should have a genuine curiosity about working with and for older people. You need to have high empathy and be sensitive to being part of the work with elderly care. You need to be able to take initiative and take responsibility for completing commitments.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

• Completed upper secondary education with a suitable focus
• Experience in artistic work
• At least two years of documented experience in pedagogical work
• Proficiency in the Office package
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Education and work experience in care and support for the elderly or people with disabilities.
• Experience/knowledge of digital technology, layout, and social platforms
• Education in drama/theater
• Education or experience in process leadership or supervision
• Multilingualism
• Playing one or more instruments

Working as a Cultural Activities Coordinator is a very broad and varied assignment. You are part of a larger whole within Stadsscen that jointly works to ensure that all citizens in Södertälje can experience, participate in, and create culture. Working hours are predominantly during the day, but sometimes also in the evenings or on occasional weekends.
