The Education Administration is responsible for all operations within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school centers, upper secondary schools, and adult education.

Approximately 1,300 students study at Arlandagymnasiet. We offer 11 upper secondary programs, both university-preparatory and vocational. The school offers one of the few aviation technology programs in Sweden, as well as national and local sports programs in handball, football, floorball, ice hockey, and e-sports.

Arlandagymnasiet also offers introductory programs, adapted for students who lack the eligibility to attend a national program, as well as an adapted upper secondary school, which is a four-year voluntary education for young people with intellectual disabilities.

Our annual evaluations show that students and staff are very happy at our school. Skilled teachers, the school's bright and airy premises, and not least the good climate among students are contributing factors to this.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The vocational programs at Arlandagymnasiet are growing, and we need to hire more skilled educators. With us, you make a difference in the lives of young people. The vocational programs at Arlandagymnasiet are looking for a teacher in English and History, as well as Psychology, who puts the students and their learning at the center. You are a clear leader in the classroom and demonstrate high and positive expectations for the students. We view good relationships between teachers and students as one of the most important success factors, and we are therefore looking for you who are good at creating and maintaining good student relationships. We are looking for you who want to teach at an upper secondary school characterized by a wide range of educational offerings, collaborations inside and outside the school, and a strong focus on collegial cooperation.

Our school works according to a common pedagogical model, "Arlandalektionen" (The Arlanda Lesson). The model guides us in our work to contribute to our students' knowledge, personal development, and learning. It supports you in being a clear leader for your students with structure and purpose.

At Arlandagymnasiet, we have full-time mentors, which means the position does not include mentorship duties, allowing you to focus on teaching.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in English and History. If you also have a teaching certification in Psychology, we consider it an asset, as does previous experience teaching in vocational programs. You see the importance of collaborating with your colleagues in the vocational subjects to provide a consistent thread for our students throughout their education, and you conduct your own teaching based on a situation-adapted and flexible approach. Being well-prepared and able to motivate students to want to learn more is something you work on continuously.

You are a clear leader in the classroom with high and positive expectations for the students. We view good relationships between teachers and students as one of the most important success factors, and we are therefore looking for you who are good at creating and maintaining good student relationships. You put the students and their learning at the center and plan your lessons carefully, both with a long-term and preferably collegial perspective. Supporting your colleagues and developing yourself through joint assessments, observations, and a natural sharing culture is something we value highly.
