Skogsängsskolan is a modern and multicultural municipal primary/lower secondary school (Grades F-9) in Salem with just over 500 students. Our keywords – safety, community, and learning – permeate the entire operation. We share a common view of students with high expectations for both learning and interaction, and we are convinced that all students can develop significantly with the right support and clear teaching. Therefore, our learning environment is characterized by structure, clarity, safety, and joy.

We work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools), a research-based development project that strengthens leadership in the classroom, creates clear expectations, and a positive school climate. With our outdoor profile, students get a classroom without walls, with experiences such as paddling, cooking in outdoor kitchens, hiking, and overnight stays in forest and archipelago environments.

Job Description

The position involves teaching students in grades 4-6 in the subjects of Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Natural Science (NO), and Mathematics, as well as mentorship. You are responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work in your subjects. Together with your colleagues, you collaborate in work teams and subject teams to develop the school and teaching.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher in the subjects of Swedish, Swedish as a Second Language, Natural Science (NO), and Mathematics. Competence in additional subjects is meritorious. You see the value in creating good relationships with your students, guardians, and colleagues. You vary and develop teaching so that each student can develop as far as possible in the subjects, and you adapt your teaching to meet the needs of all students. As a person, you are flexible and solution-focused.

Employment Terms

Permanent full-time position, subject to there being no surplus staff within the municipality at the time of employment that would affect the filling of the position.
