GeBlod is part of Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (KITM), which is part of the Diagnostic Centre in Region Östergötland. KITM is a laboratory-accredited specialty. Approximately 90 people work here in professional categories such as biomedical scientists, biologists, nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, and others.

Job Description
As a biomedical scientist with us, you will:
- Perform blood donation and blood sampling.
- Assess and handle donors' health declarations through individual conversations.
- Work both at our fixed blood donation units and in our blood bus.
- Participate in recruitment events and other activities to inform about and encourage blood donation.
- Work with certain methods and areas of responsibility.
- Become an important part of an operation where you meet engaged blood donors daily and contribute to life-saving efforts.
Work Group
At GeBlod, 26 people work. We are biomedical scientists, nurses, assistant nurses, communicators, and vehicle drivers. During a work shift, you work together with four to six colleagues in a group where collaboration and commitment are key to success.
At GeBlod, we believe in creating a work environment where you thrive and develop. We offer an introduction and support from experienced colleagues, as well as continuous competence development through both internal and external courses.
We perform approximately 14,000 blood donations every year throughout Östergötland. The operation is conducted partly at a fixed unit with a central location on Storgatan in Linköping, and partly via a blood bus that serves approximately 40 stops around the region. In the autumn, we will also expand the operation by opening a new fixed unit in Norrköping.
The work is performed Monday–Saturday (except on major holidays), during daytime and some evening shifts until 20:45 at the latest (approximately once a month). Currently, you work every third or fourth Saturday with working hours from 09:30 to 15:00.
We offer scheduling based on the scheduling tool Tessa, which means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own schedule.

About You
We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical scientist, whether you are newly graduated or have a few years of experience, and wish to develop together with us in an important and socially beneficial operation.
- Have experience from healthcare, for example through internship (VFU) or previous work.
- Have knowledge of or interest in blood donation, blood sampling, or component preparation.
- Have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Have very good computer skills.
- Hold a Category B driver's license (required as driving is part of the job).
- If you have a Category C driver's license and are willing to drive our blood bus, it is a plus, but it is not a requirement for the position.
