Svandammsskolan in Nynäshamn Municipality is looking for an engaged music teacher who wants to contribute to the students' development. Do you want to help create safe and stimulating environments for our students? Then we need you!

Job Responsibilities

The position is located at Svandammsskolan. As a music teacher, you will plan, conduct, and follow up on music education for grades 3-6. You will collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure a holistic, inclusive, and safe environment where all children feel welcome and thrive. The position is part-time (50%) and fixed-term for the period 2026-08-11 to 2026-12-18.

About the Workplace

The primary task of the Child and Education Administration is to offer a safe and stimulating learning environment where we equip children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.

Svandammsskolan is located in the southern part of Nynäshamn and is a two-parallel school for students in grades F-6. The school's guiding words are camaraderie, challenge, curiosity, collaboration, creativity, activity, and progression. In other words, "knowledge gives opportunities".

What We Are Looking For in You

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Teacher certification in music
• Knowledge of the current curriculum
• Good familiarity with the school's governing documents
• Previous experience working as a music teacher
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Good ability to use digital tools

Personal qualities we are looking for

You are an engaged, positive, and creative person who takes responsibility for your work and has a good ability to lead and teach. You have good pedagogical insight and design the teaching so that students' confidence in their own abilities is strengthened. You have strong collaboration skills and enjoy working to build good relationships with both students and colleagues. You are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances. We are looking for someone who is stable, professional, and warm in their approach, and who cares about achieving good results.
