About the role
As a foreman in marine contracting at Nordisk Grundteknik, you will become a central part of our operations in Bohuslän. You will work closely with our experienced works manager, Göran, to gradually take over responsibility for project management, customer relations, and the daily work on our barges and boats. The role is physical and operational, where you lead by being actively involved in production. We work on everything from large infrastructure projects like bridge construction to custom-built jetty solutions for private individuals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and gradually lead the daily work in sea-based construction projects
• Work from boats, barges, and other marine work platforms
• Participate in larger projects such as harbors, ferry terminals, and bridges
• Together with the team, be responsible for the maintenance and care of boats, barges, and equipment
• Be involved in planning logistics, materials, and projects in archipelago environments
• Gradually take greater responsibility for customer contact, site meetings, and project management

Who you are
We are looking for someone who thrives outdoors and is not afraid to get their hands dirty, regardless of the weather. You likely have a background as a carpenter, craftsman, assembler, or perhaps a fisherman, and feel that you want to develop further into a more responsible role.

Since the work takes place on water, sea experience and a genuine interest in boating are a given. Having a Class 8 Ship Captain's Certificate or other relevant education is an advantage, but not a requirement. For the right person, there is an opportunity to be trained within the scope of the role. As a person, you are unpretentious, positive, straightforward in your communication, and have a strong work ethic. You are a problem solver who takes responsibility and ensures the job is done with the highest quality. You thrive in a small team where people help each other and work closely with the operations.

• Background in construction, craftsmanship, smithing, or another practical trade
• Sea experience and interest in marine environments
• Some form of construction technical education or relevant experience
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

We believe you live in the local area, for example on Tjörn, Orust, in Stenungsund, Kungälv, or the Uddevalla area.
