Do you want to help build the region's largest environmental investment for a cleaner sea? Are you interested in billion-krona projects where we, among other things, are building a landmark building in the Göta älv estuary?
Gryaab treats wastewater in the Gothenburg region. The treated water is released into the sea. Since our founding in 1972, our environmental investments worth billions of kronor have contributed to societal benefit and a cleaner sea. We are a circular resource plant and work creatively to increase our circular utility.
To continue developing sustainably, we are driving Nya Rya, Gryaab's largest investment ever. Through this program, we work with innovation and commitment to be ready with an expanded and upgraded treatment plant that meets future treatment requirements and society's needs in 2036.
Gryaab has a special department to drive the program, the Large Projects department. The program is led by a department manager and is divided into several projects. Each project is led by a project manager.
What does the role entail?
We are looking for a committed project manager who will be responsible for the largest construction and infrastructure project within the Nya Rya program. The project involves investments of several billion kronors in a new treatment facility. It includes construction with technical buildings and facilities as well as advanced control and regulation technology. The location is near the anchorage of the Älvsborg Bridge on Hisingen. The building facing the river will become a landmark for the city, visible from the estuary all the way to Lilla Bommen. Other parts of the facility with large concrete structures will largely be blasted into the rock.
You will be responsible for projects in various phases, from preliminary design to a commissioned facility. As a project manager, you are responsible for the budget, schedule, risks, and organization of the project. You are also responsible for cost estimates, procurement of consultants and contractors within the framework of the Public Procurement Act. You continuously monitor project economics and schedules and lead project, technical, and construction meetings. Your role also includes following up on contractual requirements.
As the project manager for this project, you are part of the leadership team for the project program and report to the department manager. You will become part of a department with colleagues who have high competence, great commitment, dynamism, and curiosity.
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree or equivalent through long professional experience
- experience from project management in the construction and infrastructure industry
- experience from large multidisciplinary projects
- experience from the execution phase, including detailed design and construction
- experience with contracting and contract issues
- excellent ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
As a person:
- you work in a structured and methodical way
- you are a confident and engaging leader
- you have good collaboration skills
- you adapt your communication to the target group and situation
