Fruängens School is a comprehensive school (Grades F-9) with 600 students in regular and adapted basic education. The school is located adjacent to Fruängen Center with easy access to good public transport connections – subway and bus. The area is characterized by housing from the 1950s and 60s, although new residential areas have been added in recent years.

The school consists of six buildings surrounding a large schoolyard with pines and large areas for play and movement. The classrooms are modern and offer an stimulating environment.

We are approximately 100 employees with long collective experience and high competence, and a strong interest in developing our joint work.

Your role

We are looking for a teacher who will teach Swedish and Social Studies (SO) in the lower secondary school (Grades 7-9), as well as serve as a homeroom teacher for Grade 7.

You will be part of a work team and a subject team where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of collegial learning to create new and deepened knowledge.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, documentation, assessment, and evaluation of the classes you teach.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have high expectations for students' achievement of goals, good pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged to bring out the best in students. You who apply:

• Are a certified teacher with qualifications in Swedish and Social Studies (SO).
• Have at least 2 years of documented experience in the teaching profession.
• Have experience with digital working methods as an enhancement in teaching.

You have a good ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-awareness, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective manner.
