Your Assignment

In the role of Physical Education Teacher, you teach students in grades 1–6. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subject according to the curriculum. Through safe, inclusive, and movement-oriented teaching, you actively work to develop the students' physical activity. You adapt the teaching based on the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites, and you follow up, assess, grade, and document the students' knowledge development. To create the best conditions for the students, you work closely with other teachers, school leadership, and the student health team.

You are part of the practical-aesthetic team. Two other PE teachers and a movement pedagog work at the school. Together, you collaborate on sports-related activities and traditions, as well as on matters concerning students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• A teaching license with subject eligibility for grades F–6 in Physical Education and Health.
• Knowledge of and/or experience working with children in need of extra adjustments and special support.
• Good digital competence with experience in using digital pedagogical tools.
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience working within the school system.
• Experience working as a teacher, preferably in Physical Education and Health.
• Experience teaching students in lower and/or middle school.

In PE teaching, you have a clear, pedagogical, and responsive leadership style where you teach, lead, motivate, and develop your students with engagement and security. You are unpretentious and understand that students have different prerequisites, needs, and ways of absorbing knowledge, which means you adapt your methods and tools to each student.
