Job Description
We are now looking for you who want to work as a Development Manager within the specialist area of archives in Sweden's largest administration for disability support! The role involves working in an advisory and supportive capacity within the entire archive area together with your colleagues.
As an Archive Development Manager, you work with archive issues related to the administration's various operations from a holistic perspective with a focus on development. You are part of the board's archive organization and, together with your manager and colleague, are responsible for the board's archives. You have close cooperation with managers, business developers, and other support functions and specialists.
In the role of Archive Development Manager, you will among other things:
- provide advice and qualified support to the operations regarding archive and information management issues.
- investigate and participate in the decommissioning and implementation of IT support and IT services together with other functions within the area.
- identify and map processes.
- prepare implementation decisions as well as retention and disposal investigations.
- prepare and revise decision materials and policy documents.
- serve as the authority's contact person in archive matters, participate in consultations, planning, steering, and provide information about the authority's public records.
- monitor the external environment and conduct training in archive and information management.
- plan and hold working group meetings and network meetings.
- perform certain filing and cataloging work as well as other common tasks within the archive area.
The position is located within the Quality and Support Unit. Within the unit, we have gathered issues concerning the board, law, registry, archives, and quality. We have a welcoming and pleasant workplace at Selma Lagerlöfs torg with an activity-based working approach. We offer flexible working hours and workplace and strive for a balance between work and leisure. This implies a certain freedom but also places demands on responsibility-taking from each employee. We have clear leadership based on Gothenburg City's approach; we know our mission and who we are for, we care, we work together, and we think new!
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree of 180 credits within a field relevant to the position, of which 60 credits are in archival science/information science.
- several years of current experience from strategic and operational work as an archivist or similar in a public organization.
- good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the handling of public records within public administration.
- good digital competence and experience working in various business and information systems.
- good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
We see that you can work both independently and in a group with both strategic and operational archive issues. You are methodical, structured, and plan and prioritize work effectively. You ensure that work is completed on time and follow up on results.
You are motivated by learning new things and come up with new ideas and take initiative for improvements. You actively monitor the external environment within your profession and regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your operations.
You can convey information and ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing, and ensure that your message has reached its audience. You have a good ability to adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation and work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.
