Do you want to take a key role in the development and management of modern railway vehicles? We are now looking for a Project Manager for a long-term assignment where you will have overall responsibility for change management within an advanced technical vehicle environment.

In this role, you are responsible for driving and coordinating technical changes, ensuring high quality in maintenance work, and creating structure and progress in complex projects. You will become a central part of an experienced team and work closely with suppliers, maintenance organizations, and various stakeholders within the railway sector. 🔧

📍 Location: Stockholm 🕒 Scope: 100% 📅 Assignment period: 2026-08-17 – 2028-06-22 ✈️ Travel: 1–2 travel days per month within Sweden

You will among other things:

• Identify solutions to technical problems and vehicle adaptations.

• Lead technical investigations and analyses.

• Coordinate work together with system suppliers and maintenance actors.

• Plan, execute, and evaluate test installations.

• Write technical reports and presentation material.

• Ensure that maintenance programs are optimally designed based on availability, lifespan, and cost.

• Develop and quality assure maintenance documentation.

• Manage the vehicle management system FORD.

• Conduct risk assessments according to CSM-RA.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and technical standards.

• Report status, risks, and progress to various steering and collaboration forums.

• Post-secondary education in engineering or equivalent work experience.

• At least 5 years of experience working with railway vehicles at a deep technical level.

• At least 3 years of experience working in FORD or a similar vehicle management system.

• At least 3 years of experience working with tools for vehicle documentation, maintenance, and status monitoring.

• At least 3 years of experience in the management of railway vehicles.

• Very good knowledge of the Office package.

• Strong administrative and organizational skills.

• High attention to detail and structure.

• Good initiative and habit of driving work independently.

• Good analytical skills and business understanding.

• Very good teamwork skills.

• Very good communication skills in speech and writing.

• Very good knowledge of Swedish.

• Good knowledge of English.

• Experience working with the vehicle type Itino.

• Technical knowledge of railway vehicles and vehicle management.

• Practical experience of CSM-RA and its application.

• Experience of implementing changes in FORD.

• Experience working in a depot environment.

• Experience leading smaller projects or sub-projects.

• Established network within the railway industry.

• Knowledge of German.
