Teacher for After-School Care at Högsätra School

Högsätra School is a school with 550 students distributed across grades F-9, and we have approximately 75 staff members. Our school is characterized by joy and engagement among both staff and students. We have small classes with high staff density, and we educate students towards independence, which provides the prerequisites for development and learning. We operate on the premise that students need plenty of time for their learning.

Job Responsibilities

The positions are primarily aimed at you who are a teacher with a focus on after-school care, but also for you who are a primary school teacher and can imagine working in after-school care.

Do you want to help create a holistic school day for the students? We are looking for two engaged after-school care teachers who want to contribute to a safe, creative, and educational environment where school and after-school care collaborate to strengthen the student's development. At Högsätra School, we work in smaller classes with high staff density and strong collegial collaboration. You are a clear pedagogical leader who sees the value in student influence, movement, and teaching both indoors and outdoors.

You will actively work with:

  • Planning and conducting teaching that starts from the students' needs, interests, and experiences.
  • Promoting students' imagination, interaction, movement, and creativity through aesthetic expression forms and practical exploration.
  • Collaborating with primary school teachers during the school day and contributing to a red thread in the students' learning.
  • Participating in joint planning and development of the after-school care activities together with colleagues and the deputy principal.
  • Creating good relationships with guardians and participating in development talks, preferably in collaboration with preschool class or primary school.

Qualifications

The position requires you to have a teacher's license. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with children in need of special support, as well as collaboration in class with subject-integrated activities. It is also an advantage if you have the qualification to teach music.

You have a good knowledge of the curriculum for after-school care and experience in implementing it in practice. Furthermore, you have the ability to work solution-focused, structured, and with a clear student focus. You have good collaboration skills and experience communicating with colleagues, students, and guardians. We therefore expect you to contribute with engagement, a professional attitude, and that you take initiative to constantly develop yourself and the operations.

Employment type: Permanent position.

Start date: 2026-08-12 or by agreement.
