About Us
Ward 365 is a general psychiatric inpatient unit with 15 beds. The ward is located at Östra Sjukhuset (East Hospital). We treat individuals with conditions such as depression, crisis reactions, and personality disorders. We work in teams where doctors, nurses, care assistants, and social workers collaborate to provide good care for the patient. We strive for a person-centered approach where the patient is involved in their care and treatment. We also value our work environment and create a place where everyone enjoys working.
About the Job
Working as a nurse means you are a vital part of the team working to ensure all patients receive good and safe care. As a nurse, you will have a varied workload with a focus on patient-centered care and excellent opportunities for development.
You plan, lead, delegate, and perform daily nursing care for patients together with the care team. A key part of the job is to create care plans together with the patient based on identified needs and to continuously evaluate and follow up on the care we provide.
As a nurse here, you will have a varied and dynamic job. You will perform standard nursing tasks such as wound care, pain relief, administering medication, and taking samples. A central part of the job is providing psychiatric nursing care. This includes supporting patients during difficult times, conducting psycho-educational conversations, and creating conditions for the patient to feel safe, predictable, and stable.
If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year (Kliniskt basår), which is our induction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment. It includes lectures, nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. Additionally, it includes a placement on another ward to broaden your competence. The ward also offers regular supervision.
About You
You will work closely with patients and have a good manner, understanding, and interest in people. You find it easy to listen and communicate with both patients and relatives, and you always work from a patient-focused approach.
Since you work in a team and have contact with various partners, you need to have good collaboration skills.
You are secure and stable in yourself and can adapt to the situation and prioritize. To thrive in the role, you need to be flexible, accustomed to taking initiative, and able to organize and plan your work independently.
You have the ability to lead, distribute, and coordinate tasks for the team based on the different competencies of the staff, according to the patient's needs.
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with a focus on psychiatry. We would appreciate if you have previous experience in psychiatric care, but this is not a requirement.
Personal suitability is highly valued in the recruitment process.
We warmly welcome your application!
