Värmdö Gymnasium, one of Stockholm's most attractive upper secondary schools, is centrally located at Gullmarsplan in Stockholm. The school has approximately 1,250 students distributed across five university-preparatory programs: EK, ES, NA, SA, and TE. Värmdö Municipality is the main authority, but our students come from all over Greater Stockholm.

The operations are characterized by engagement and creativity and are focused on education, academic studies, and working life. All teachers at the school are certified. Centrally located in the school is our fine library. For students in need of special support, we have a well-functioning studio. Värmdö Gymnasium is the school where students thrive and are given good conditions for learning and a democratic approach. Collaboration has made Värmdö Gymnasium one of Stockholm's most successful schools. We are now looking for a knowledgeable, creative, and engaged certified natural science teacher who shares our focus on learning, collaboration, and well-being.

The role of the natural science teacher involves teaching Natural Science 1b as an individual choice. The lessons will take place on Wednesdays from 8:30 to 10:30.

We are looking for you who are an engaged, interested, and certified teacher eligible to teach Natural Science (qualification certificate required). You have experience teaching at the upper secondary level and are a skilled pedagogue with the ability to inspire and engage students in learning, as well as individualize teaching according to different needs.

As a person, you find it easy to collaborate, are receptive, have good communication skills, and the ability to think creatively. You enjoy working with young people and are driven by seeing them grow and develop.

You want to work for a good school culture and have the ability to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, as well as maintain clear structure in your work processes. You value close collaboration with colleagues, are receptive to others' knowledge, and participate in collegial learning.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The employment covers 16 % and is a fixed-term position for the academic year 2026/2027, with a start date of August 11, 2026.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment.
