Betty Pettersson Gymnasium in Enskede opened its doors as a newly established upper secondary school in August 2022 when we welcomed our first students in year 1. The acute startup phase is now over, and our first students graduated in the spring of 2025. However, we are not fully grown up yet, and the plan going forward is to gradually increase the number of students from the 450 we will have this autumn to approximately 600 when the Natural Science (NA) program is fully expanded.

We are and will remain a relatively small upper secondary school characterized by community, a family-like atmosphere, and a pioneering spirit. Since we are a relatively new school, we are still an organization that allows and encourages work and initiatives regarding the design of our various educational programs, traditions, and who we will be in the future. This is evident in our organization, which is characterized by a strong collaborative culture within the teaching staff but also between the school's different professions.

In our work with our students, we are guided by our keywords "We see you, we hear you, you learn", which means we have a student-centered and relational approach as both subject teachers and mentors. The relationship with their teachers is something students highlight as particularly important for their academic success at our school. Job Description

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified to teach Chemistry and Mathematics at the upper secondary level, and who want to help build our Natural Science (NA) program. The position starts on August 10th and is a permanent employment. The role also includes mentorship duties.

We are looking for you who are attracted to being part of a context characterized by community and the desire to develop our operations. Our students should feel in their daily school life that "we see you, we hear you, and you learn."

Qualifications

• You are a certified teacher for upper secondary school with qualifications in Chemistry and Mathematics.
• You have experience teaching at the upper secondary level.
• You succeed in creating engagement among students and capturing their curiosity.
• You adapt teaching based on different student groups and involve the student in your planning.
• You work in a reflective, structured, and systematic way, both individually and together with colleagues.
• You use IT as a natural tool to develop students' learning. Every student with us will have their own computer.
• You are a clear and skilled leader in the classroom who, through good relationships, helps your students succeed.
• You have experience with responsibility for chemistry labs and chemical handling.
