The Role

We are looking for an engaged and technically curious test engineer for durability testing of engines. You will work close to the physical product, combining analysis with practical work in a test environment.

You are responsible for engine testing in test cells and monitoring components and systems over time, focusing on reliability, functionality, and quality. The role involves both data analysis and physical inspection of hardware.

You collaborate closely with designers, test operators, and development teams to ensure that engines and components meet requirements throughout the entire development and verification process.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor engine behavior in test cells and track tests over time
• Analyze test data and identify patterns and deviations
• Perform inspections and contribute to root cause analysis
• Plan, prepare, and execute test assignments
• Document results and write technical reports
• Collaborate with teams in development, workshop, and maintenance
• Contribute to the improvement of testing methods
• Follow engines from prototype to finished product

Qualifications

• Technical education in mechanical engineering, automotive, or equivalent experience
• A strong interest in engines and mechanics
• Ability to work in a structured, independent, and meticulous manner
• Experience in testing, analysis, or verification (advantageous)
• Good command of English (Swedish is an advantage)
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience drawing conclusions from data
• Experience with documentation and working according to processes

Advantageous Experience

• Experience in engine testing or engine development
• Knowledge of engine components and measurement technology
• Experience in analyzing mechanical components
• Understanding of engine control systems or calibration
• Experience in technical reporting
