Operating Room Nurse with a role as Medical Technology Coordinator - Operation 1 and 2 Östra

What can we offer you?

We perform colorectal and upper gastrointestinal surgery, robotic surgery, infection-related procedures, gynecology, and obstetrics. As an operating room nurse, you will rotate between these specialties. We perform both elective surgery during daytime and emergency services around the clock, where speed is sometimes of the essence.

The work, and the pace, is varied, and there are good opportunities for professional development. You will participate in both internal and external training and help develop our operations together with us. We strive for a good learning culture and tailor the introduction to the individual and their previous experience.

The work involves shifts during the day, evening, and every fourth weekend.

The Role as Medical Technology Coordinator

In addition to clinical work, you will have a development and coordination role related to medical technology products on the department, covering approximately 50% of your working time. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the department's managers, instructors, and Medical Technology (MT) staff, and is part of our continuous improvement work to maintain good quality and patient safety.

As the Medical Technology Coordinator at Operation 1 and 2, you will become a key person in driving safety, quality, and technical development forward – ensuring that our medical technology products are used optimally in a highly specialized and dynamic environment.

The role includes among other things:

• Ensuring that medical technology products are used in accordance with current laws, guidelines, and quality requirements.
• Developing and implementing routines and driving educational initiatives to increase competence regarding medical technology equipment.
• Acting as the central contact person for MT, other operations, Group Purchasing, and external suppliers.
• Following up on preventive maintenance, participating in networks, and contributing to the technical development of the operation.
• Identifying risks, handling deviations, and participating in analyses related to medical technology products.
• Having a key role in procurement, lifecycle planning, and representing the operation in hospital-wide forums.

Who are we looking for?

• You are a specialized nurse with a focus on operating room care.
• You need experience working as an operating room nurse or have a suitable medical technology background.
• You have an interest in technology, quality, and development work and are happy to share your knowledge.
• We expect you to have good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as computer proficiency.
• You are communicative, flexible, and positive, contributing to a good work environment with the patient in focus.
