Teacher for After-School Center – Rudboda School, Lidingö

Rudboda School is a K-6 school located in northern Lidingö, approximately 20 minutes from T-centralen. The school boasts fantastic facilities with bright, well-planned classrooms, well-equipped arts and crafts rooms, and a large sports hall. The schoolyard is enormous, featuring excellent play areas, its own artificial turf field, small forest areas, and borders one of Lidingö's nature conservation areas.

At Rudboda, we work towards a joyful and meaningful after-school program where health and movement are key focus areas. Our students are given the opportunity for a secure and engaging leisure time with daily outdoor activities, where nature and outdoor life are important elements.

Responsibilities

As a teacher for the after-school center (fritidspedagog) or social pedagogue, you contribute with your experience and knowledge to create a pedagogical learning environment that stimulates curiosity and new knowledge. You focus on the group's needs and adapt your involvement based on what the group or individual students need, in consultation with colleagues but also based on your own understanding of your responsibilities. Relationships are at the forefront, and you adapt your approach to the students' different conditions and needs.

You are present for the students throughout the entire school day, from morning until late afternoon, indoors and outdoors, in play, but also as support in the school activities. Your focus is on the students' best interests – you want to be a significant adult who makes a difference and contributes to security, trust, and development.

During the school day, you serve as a resource in the classroom as well as during transitions, changing clothes for PE, and during recess. During leisure time, you contribute to a high-quality and inspiring after-school program, both on afternoons and during holidays.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a teacher for the after-school center (fritidspedagog). You are welcome to have experience in work focused on outdoor life and outdoor activities, as this is an important part of our operations. Additional education in areas such as outdoor life, digitalization, arts, or drama is meritorious.

We seek someone who is driven and structured with a strong commitment to children's development, security, and health, and who has a good ability to build relationships. You are proactive and find it exciting to develop the after-school program together with your colleagues. As a person, you enjoy being in nature with joy and energy.

You can and want to collaborate with other people and are happy to come up with creative solutions and ideas yourself. You should be able to lead, motivate, and create engagement to develop students' curiosity and desire to learn, based on the mission of the after-school center.

Employment Conditions

• Type of employment: Permanent position.
• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• The municipality applies individual salary setting.
• Start date: According to agreement.
