Edsbergsskolan is a middle school with the vision of "safe students who thrive in school and are well prepared for the future." The school consists of two parts: a primary school for grades 7–9 with just under 300 students and an adapted primary school for grades 7–9 with around 30 students.

We offer specialization in music and sports, as well as advanced training in English and mathematics.

Job Responsibilities

As a Swedish teacher at Edsbergsskolan, you teach Swedish to students in grades 7–9. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching using a language-developing and student-centered approach, and you actively work to create a safe, structured, and motivating learning environment for students in all three grades.

You belong to the working group for grade 7, where you collaborate closely with colleagues on planning, assessment, and student support. The position also includes mentorship in a grade 7 class, where you share responsibility with a colleague. Together, you monitor the students' social and academic development and maintain regular contact with guardians.

An important part of the role is to provide extra support in Swedish to students who need to strengthen their language skills. You collaborate here with a colleague responsible for corresponding support in English, and together you create a cohesive structure for the students' language support in grade 7.

Qualifications

You are a confident and engaged teacher who creates structure, study peace, and good relationships in the classroom. You have a language-developing approach and can adapt teaching to the students' different needs.

You thrive in a team, enjoy collaborating, and contribute to a positive and professional work environment. As a mentor, you are present, attentive, and engaged in the students' development.

You are independent, flexible, and structured in your work approach and have good digital competence in teaching.

Requirements

• Certified teacher in Swedish for grades 7–9

Merits

• Experience teaching in middle school (grades 7–9)
