Uppgårdsskolan is a municipal secondary school with students in grades 7–9. The school is located next to Stenhamra Centre, Färingsö, Ekerö Municipality. The school has approximately 310 students distributed in classes of about 21–26 students. We are proud of and value a calm and safe school environment in beautiful facilities with green areas directly adjacent to the school. We have a strong and competent teaching staff where you are given the opportunity to develop teaching, operations, and yourself as a pedagogue. As a pedagogue, you stimulate and meet the student based on their own prerequisites and needs. As a mentor, you are the single most important person for the student at school – skills such as building relationships and providing meaning and context are of great importance. We cherish and work for the student's right to develop as far as possible by maintaining high quality in teaching and placing the student's knowledge development at the center.

Job Description

Uppgårdsskolan is looking for a qualified special needs teacher!
For us, you will fill an important role. We wish that you, as an applicant, enjoy working systematically and long-term, together with teaching teachers, student welfare, and school management.
You contribute with your competence as a special needs teacher in the work of designing extra adaptations and special support, as well as conducting support teaching. An important part of your assignment is to be responsible for and carry out mapping, pedagogical assessments, and follow-up of interventions. It is important that you have good knowledge of documentation work regarding students in need of special support, and that you enjoy being responsible for the processes.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- Are a licensed teacher with a special needs teacher degree (or ongoing education).
- See challenges as developmental and enjoy working in a team.
- Have a clear student focus and a strong belief that all students should be given the opportunity to succeed based on their abilities and knowledge goals.
- Are structured, solution-focused, and have good collaboration skills.
- Are meticulous and efficient in documentation work; such as mapping, assessments, and evaluations of interventions.
