Job Description

The primary care laboratories and sampling units are the important first link in our laboratory operations. Within primary care, you will work close to patients with sample collection and analysis work within areas such as hematology and coagulation. At the primary care lab, you work in close collaboration with other professions at the healthcare center, but your organizational affiliation is with PCLM, which also handles your competence development as well as the lab's quality assurance and instrumentation. Our working hours are favorable as we only work daytime, weekdays Monday to Friday, no holidays or red days. We are looking for you who are a biomedical scientist or hospital biologist and who want to work together with the engaged and experienced employees within Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine East.

Work Group

Patient-Centered Laboratory Medicine East staffs and is responsible for the laboratories at the healthcare centers Kolmården, Sandbyhov, Cityhälsan Centrum and Cityhälsan Söder, Valdemarsvik, Geria in Söderköping, as well as the Sampling Unit at Vrinnevisjukhuset.

About You

You are a licensed biomedical scientist, hospital biologist, or have equivalent education that we assess as equal. Since the work includes blood status analysis, you need to have completed education or a course in hematology.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience working at a primary care laboratory, sample collection, and analysis work. We also place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Our work is permeated by quality and patient safety, which places high demands on very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. This applies, for example, to communication with patients regarding information and instructions, as well as for your own knowledge acquisition in the form of method descriptions and training to obtain the competence certificates required to work with us. You also use your knowledge, skills, and abilities in dealing with patients.

To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important.

As a person, you are social, service-oriented, flexible, and enjoy meeting and helping people.

You work according to set guidelines and routines, are structured, quality-conscious, and meticulous, and have the ability to prioritize your work effectively. We expect you to be calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations and to have good teamwork skills. It is also important that you are flexible and receptive. The work requires the ability to perform independent work as well as working in a group.

Application and Employment

We are now offering a permanent position at one of the above-mentioned workplaces in PCLM East.

The placement for the position is primarily at one of the workplaces, but it also includes staffing and working at other workplaces as needed, as we together are responsible for the entire PCLM East operation.
