Gävle Port is looking for Port Control Operators for the traffic unit. In this role, you have a central responsibility to lead, coordinate, and ensure safe and efficient operational activities throughout the port area.

About the Role

As a Port Control Operator, you are a key function in the port's operational management. You work at the heart of the business and are responsible for coordination, traffic control, and safety within maritime, rail, and road transport.

The role involves shift work in a control room, where you daily handle complex flows, receive alarms, make guiding decisions, and coordinate efforts during both everyday disruptions and serious incidents. You have close contact with the Fire and Rescue Service, Police, Coast Guard, Swedish Customs, Swedish Armed Forces, as well as shipping companies, ship agents, railway operators, and other actors in and around the port.

Gävle Port is one of Sweden's most important logistics hubs and serves as a node for import and export in Central Sweden and Southern Norrland.

The company is owned by Gävle Municipality and is responsible for port infrastructure, traffic control on land and water, operation of the energy port, and the development of a safe and sustainable freight transport system.

At our company, dedicated employees work in an organization characterized by our keywords: joy, respect, collaboration, and responsibility.
