The Security Unit works to ensure safety and security in Hudiksvall. The unit is part of the Municipal Executive Office and consists of seven dedicated employees responsible for work related to safety, crime prevention, security, crisis preparedness, civil defense, and information security. Here, you become part of a pleasant unit with high competence and strong drive.

Your workplace is located in newly built, modern premises at Kattvikskajen, an inspiring city district with proximity to public transport and a fantastic view of the boat harbor. Several of the municipality's operations within urban planning and growth are gathered in the area together with the research institute RISE, creating a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

In your role as Crime Prevention Coordinator, you will generally coordinate and develop the municipality's crime prevention work based on current legislation.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Continuously updating the municipality's situation report regarding crime.
• Conducting analyses.
• Developing crime prevention priorities and measures in collaboration with other operations.
• Planning and implementing knowledge-raising initiatives such as training and workshops.
• Supporting the municipality's operations in crime prevention matters.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have:

• An academic education in criminology or another relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

Experience of crime prevention work within the public sector is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have experience working according to the Act (2023:196) on Municipal Responsibility for Crime Prevention Work.

To handle the role in the best possible way, you are an analytical and solution-oriented person with the ability to handle complex issues and drive the work forward even in challenging situations. You are confident in your academic knowledge and have the ability to translate theory into practice. You are flexible, and your attentiveness and teamwork skills help you build good relationships. With clear and engaging communication, you adapt easily to different target groups and situations. You are also structured, meticulous, and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on work.
