Gävle Port is now looking for a Work Environment Coordinator / Deputy Operations Manager for the Operations Department.

We are seeking a work environment coordinator/deputy operations manager who leads the daily work of the operations and maintenance group, consisting of five employees, while simultaneously driving and developing the work environment efforts within Gävle Port. The role is operational, hands-on, and crucial for both well-being, safety, and results.

Gävle Port is one of Sweden's most important logistics hubs and serves as a center for import and export in Central Sweden and Southern Norrland.

The company is owned by Gävle Municipality and is responsible for port infrastructure, traffic control on land and water, operation of the energy port, and the development of a safe and sustainable freight transport system.

Responsibilities

In this role, you have a central task in ensuring systematic, legal, and operationally relevant work environment management, while simultaneously leading the daily operations within the operations and maintenance group.

The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility and entails close collaboration with the Operations Manager, HR, and other parts of the organization.

You report to the Operations Manager and are a key part of the daily management of the operations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

• Post-secondary education (vocational college, university college, or university) with a focus on work environment
• Good knowledge of work environment legislation and related regulations
• Documented experience in work environment management
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal
• Experience in personnel management
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good computer skills (preferably experience with maintenance systems)
