About the role:

As a Product Sourcing Manager, you will become part of a central purchasing function where you work closely with internal stakeholders across various parts of the business. The role involves a broad network and close collaboration, offering you the opportunity to work with high-tech solutions that contribute to global security, while driving purchasing strategy across several product areas.

The role includes representing the purchasing organization in various projects and product flows, where you are responsible for creating momentum, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring that the purchasing perspective is included throughout the entire process. This position offers a dynamic and influential environment, with close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as technology, planning, production, warehouse, quality control, and project management.

As a Product Sourcing Manager, you will play a key role in aligning purchasing strategy with the commercial and operational needs of high-tech products. You will take responsibility for the purchasing agenda across three important dimensions – Product, Project, and Prospect – and act as the main contact between purchasing and our internal stakeholders.

The role involves regular travel both within Sweden and internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Drive early purchasing engagement in new business prospects related to your products. This includes participating in ongoing campaigns with potential customers.
• Lead cost estimation efforts and assess supplier capacity and risks to support commercial decision-making.
• Represent Purchasing in cross-functional product and project steering groups.
• Ensure alignment and information flow between Purchasing and ongoing projects throughout the product lifecycle.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has extensive experience in purchasing, supply chain, or project management.
• Has a deep understanding of purchasing processes and strategic sourcing.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage.

About the employment:

This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday and work as a consultant at our client's site.

This position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
