We are currently looking for an Operational Buyer for an established company within trade and distribution. About the Role
As an Operational Buyer, you are responsible for daily contact with suppliers and ensuring that the assortment, prices, and deliveries meet the company's needs. You work closely with sales, warehouse, and logistics to create efficient flows and good profitability.
The role is broad and varied, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility in negotiations, supplier development, and category work over time.
Responsibilities
As an Operational Buyer, you will have a central role in the business, responsible for ensuring a competitive assortment and efficient procurement flows. You work closely with suppliers and internal functions such as sales, warehouse, and logistics to ensure high delivery precision and good profitability.
In this role, you are responsible for the ongoing dialogue with suppliers regarding prices, assortment, and commercial terms. You follow market developments, analyze sales data, and identify business opportunities that strengthen the company's offering. Negotiations are a natural part of the job, so we are looking for someone who thrives in business dialogues and is motivated by creating value through good deals.
The role offers a broad contact area and great variety in daily tasks. You will have the opportunity to gradually take on greater responsibility in supplier development, negotiations, and category work.
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience in operational purchasing or a similar procurement role
- Is proficient in systems and has experience with business systems, such as Business Central, SAP, or equivalent
- Has experience with supplier contacts and commercial discussions
- Thrives in a role with many contact points
- Has strong analytical skills and works in a structured manner
- Is business-minded and has an interest in negotiations and business development
Experience from grocery retail, the food industry, or other trading activities is an advantage.
