About the unit

The Logistics Unit's operations cover a broad area! The unit includes operations within supply, technical service, as well as environment, property issues, and health care. The unit consists of just over 90 employees and includes both management and coordination and implementation.

Main tasks

Your main tasks as a local purchaser are to serve as a coordinating function within procurement for the unit and to meet the war-ready units' needs for close support at all conflict levels. In addition, you will be part of and perform tasks in the Logistics Unit's staff.

In addition, you shall:

• Participate in preparations and planning of purchases and tenders for exercises.
• Participate in purchasing work regarding host nation support (HNS).
• Execute purchases through call-offs or tenders up to the direct procurement limit.
• Carry out manual purchasing routines and war cash service if needed.
• Compile a local contract status overview.
• Act as a contact point towards FMLOG Procurement Unit.
• Inform the unit about agreements, applicable law, guidelines, decisions, and instructions for the commercial area.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Approved upper secondary education, preferably within economics, law, or logistics.
• Good knowledge of public administration and procurement.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, in Swedish and English.
• B-driver's license for manual transmission.
• Swedish citizenship.

• Purchasing and procurement experience within the Swedish Armed Forces.

Employment type: Permanent. The position starts with a six-month probationary period.

Salary: We work with individual salary setting. The lowest placement for this position is 36,000 SEK/month; further, we take previous working life experience and competence into account.

The position entails requirements for physical and mental capacity. Travel in the service occurs for both work and own education. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a war organization, you will also be war-placed in our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you at a heightened state of readiness.

Skaraborg Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you find combat aircraft as well as the Swedish Armed Forces' combined resource of transport and special aircraft. We conduct basic and position training for conscript recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The unit also participates in many operations. In Sweden, the operations are located in Såtenäs, Malmen, Arlanda, and Karlsborg. Abroad, we are responsible for Gripen support in Thailand and for the Swedish personnel at the international transport aviation cooperation Heavy Airlift Wing in Hungary.
