About Us

Åbyskolan is a fantastic F-6 school located in the heart of Västerhaninge village, with approximately 450 students and 55 dedicated and competent staff members. We have 100% certified teachers, and we are very proud of this. Åbyskolan places special emphasis on language development and mathematics.

At Åbyskolan, we know that good reading skills are crucial for students' ability to develop knowledge. Therefore, we work with language development across all subjects in the school. This strengthens our students' learning and prepares them for the future!

About the Positions

Åbyskolan is now looking for two teachers for temporary positions focused on driving the school forward together with the rest of the staff! One position is in Year 3 and lasts for one academic year (2026/2027), while the other position is in Year 1 and runs until early April 2027.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

To thrive in this role, you need to be a secure person who creates a stable and inclusive environment where students feel seen and heard. We are looking for someone who is forward-looking, ambitious, and has great faith in every student's ability to develop.

You must have a primary school teacher education and a teaching certificate with eligibility for Years F-3. You need to be accustomed to working with digital tools both for student learning, communication with guardians, and documentation of student goal achievement.

To succeed as a teacher with us, you must naturally – just like us – have both the willingness and ability to collaborate, communicate, and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Meritorious Qualifications:

• Trained CPS facilitator and/or
• Trained PAX facilitator
• Experience working with these methods.

Qualifications:

Certificate and eligibility to teach in Years F-3.
