About the Department
The County Adult Psychiatry Clinic is the region's tool for acute psychiatric inpatient care and has operations in Falun and Säter. The operations in Falun consist of a psychiatric ward for general psychiatric conditions and a ward for harmful use and addiction. The treatment team serves the County Adult Psychiatry wards with consultative support based on our various professional competencies. The treatment team includes a counselor, psychologist, and occupational therapist. We offer interesting, meaningful, and varied work where we meet people of different ages and in various life situations. The treatment team's staff support each other and collaborate in different ways in our cases. This is a workplace for you who appreciate variation and pace – no two days are ever the same!
Job Description
As a Psychologist Trainee (PTP) within inpatient care, you will have the opportunity for a structured setup with experienced psychologist colleagues close by. You will be given the prerequisites to gradually grow into your role and responsibilities during the PTP year. Examples of tasks where structured training material is available include the ward's discussion group focused on recovery and individual contacts focused on suicide prevention. Other tasks that occur include psychiatric baseline assessments and, in some cases, more extensive investigations. Crisis and support conversations with patients and relatives are common, as well as psychoeducation and more limited therapeutic interventions. The work is also of a consultative nature, where you work closely with ward staff and doctors in clinical patient care.
Several exciting development projects are underway at our clinic – finding ideas for other psychological work will not be difficult! Examples of development work include the implementation of meaningful inpatient care and Safewards, psychological suicide prevention, and patient-led admission. Naturally, you are offered participation in Region Dalarna's well-established PTP program, where you have the opportunity to meet other PTP psychologists under the guidance of the PTP study director. In addition, you are offered the psychiatry basic education and have access to the AT doctors' psychiatry education, access to experienced psychologist colleagues, and supervision. Professional meetings together with psychologist colleagues in the Psychiatry Division. You will have to look long for a more educational workplace!

Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology
Merits:
- Knowledge and experience of CBT, work with behavioral analysis and behavioral activation. Knowledge and experience of assessment and investigation of psychiatric diagnostics.
- Since you will work in a team, we place great emphasis on good cooperation skills, social competence, and personal suitability.
- Driver's license
