We are now looking for an experienced mechanic for our client Ovako in Smedjebacken. As a mechanic, you work with repairs, maintenance, and project work. You also contribute improvement proposals to optimize the production flow. You are responsible and independent, and you thrive in teams. Flexibility and a willingness to learn are important qualities for success in the role.

• Maintain and repair production equipment

• Work proactively in close collaboration with the production department

• Assemble and adjust machines according to drawings or instructions

• Identify and replace defective components in hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Weld using methods such as arc and MIG

• Conduct machine inspections according to established routines

• Contribute to keeping the repair workshop in good condition

• Participate in projects as needed

• Work in the maintenance system API to handle work orders and spare parts

Working hours: Daytime

We are looking for you who have a few years of experience as a mechanic in heavy industry and relevant technical education. You have experience in welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics and are skilled at reading drawings. You are responsible, meticulous, and have a strong drive. As a person, you are service-oriented, cooperative, and have a clear communication style. Since safety is of utmost importance, you can act methodically and remain calm in unexpected situations.

• A few years of experience as a mechanic in industry

• Education in industrial high school or equivalent

• Experience in welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Good knowledge of reading drawings

• Good computer skills

• Crane operator license

• Scissor lift training
