WORKPLACE HAGFORS SCHOOL AREA

The Hagfors school area comprises activities within preschool, preschool class, after-school center, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults, youth clubs, school and public libraries, arts school, as well as a special responsibility for culture in Hagfors Municipality.

The comprehensive schools are located at Älvstranden Bildung Centre in Hagfors, Kyrkhedens School in Ekshärad, as well as in Sunnemo and Råda. The upper secondary school and adult education are located at Älvstranden Bildung Centre in Hagfors. Within the Hagfors school area, there are 4.0 positions as school nurses. The current position is a temporary vacancy at the F-6 unit in Hagfors from August 2026 to June 2027.

DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

You will be part of the joint child and education student health service, where one of the comprehensive school principals is your manager. You are part of the comprehensive school's student health team led by the principal, ensuring close collaboration with other student health staff and educators. You will work in a team together with other school nurses, with the goal that our students reach their goals and realize their future dreams.

The school nurse's duties include monitoring students' development towards knowledge goals, working health-promoting and preventive, implementing vaccination programs according to national guidelines, organizing school doctor clinics, following the base program, and performing simpler healthcare interventions.

You are interested in working with preventive health work as well as managing other common tasks for a well-functioning medical student health service. You have a desire to further develop a modern school nurse role and the collective student health service together with the student health team, educators, and other colleagues in Hagfors Municipality's medical student health service.

As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians as well as other operations and authorities outside the school. You work for a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. The assignment also involves documentation in digital tools.

The assignment is to collaborate between the different professional categories in the team and thereby develop the preventive and health-promoting work. Your commitment and expertise are an important part of the whole and for the quality of the school.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialist training as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. Experience with digital tools is meritorious. If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work with children and young people, we see this as very positive. In your assignment, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and are responsible. You communicate easily and have a great interest in meeting different people with different backgrounds and conditions. You have a good ability to create good relationships with employees, children/students, and colleagues.

As a person, you are characterized by a positive attitude and a solution-focused and flexible working method. You have good IT skills, are communicative, and can express yourself clearly and correctly in both speech and writing. We want to contribute to students' opportunities to learn and grow. A driver's license with category B is a requirement. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. According to the School Act (2010:800), a certificate of good conduct from the Swedish Police Authority is required to work in preschool activities, school, or childcare.
