Do you want to become our new colleague?

We offer you a permanent position with a start date to be agreed upon. Full-time work is preferred, but we are open to dialogue regarding the extent of employment.

As a psychologist, you will be part of a competent and friendly team. You will collaborate closely with all professions at the health centre. Working in a team means we support each other, communicate openly, and continuously develop our shared competence.

We are committed to secure employment and offer benefits that make a difference. Read more about our benefits here (https://www.regionuppsala.se/Global/Jobba%20hos%20oss/karri%E4rwebben/F%F6rm%E5nsbroschyr%20Region%20Uppsala_2019.pdf).

Your Role

As a psychologist at our health centre, you will work with mental ill-health and the psychological aspects of health complaints. You will contribute the psychological perspective that complements the medical and social perspectives in care. You will work independently using primary care-adapted methods with adult patients from the age of 18 and collaborate with other professional groups at the health centre as well as external actors.

Common areas of concern you will encounter include depression, anxiety disorders, sleep problems, pain, and stress. We work with triage, stepwise assessment, and treatment based on a county-wide care process for mental ill-health.

Your duties include psychological assessment and diagnosis, counseling, treatment, and handling of referrals. Treatment is provided according to national knowledge-based guidelines, both in groups and individually, via video and in person. Our interventions include support for self-help, psychological counseling, as well as short-term and long-term interventions tailored to patients' primary care needs.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and have good knowledge of diagnostics and evidence-based treatment methods. Experience from working in primary care is advantageous.

To thrive in this role, you need to be comfortable handling large patient flows and a combination of assessments, short-term, and long-term interventions. You make correct assessments and prioritizations, weigh complex information, and show good judgment in decision-making. A good pedagogical ability and the capacity to establish contact with patients and put yourself in their perspective are crucial for success in this position.

You have strong collaboration skills, are receptive, and solve challenges constructively. You take responsibility for your tasks, drive processes forward in a structured manner, and plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively within set timeframes. You work independently, are quality-conscious, and see the big picture with consideration for the broader perspective. The role requires an interest in teamwork and motivation to develop the operations. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We work close to the patient, in teams at the health centre, and collaborate with colleagues at different care levels.
