The Centre for Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CFOG) Västerbotten is a county organization with a total of approximately 250 employees, comprising units from the three hospitals in the county that work and collaborate together. CFOG is a University Hospital unit and conducts research in collaboration with Umeå University.
CFOG operates with a county-wide process-oriented approach, and the hospitals in the county jointly ensure that people in Västerbotten have access to specialist maternity care, delivery, neonatal care, home care after birth, gynaecological outpatient clinics, gynaecological surgery, tumor surgery, and robotic surgery. The unit in Umeå performs approximately 1,800 deliveries per year and also serves as the center for prematurity from week 22 in the entire northern healthcare region.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Specialist Doctor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel safe.
In the role of specialist doctor, you primarily work with patient responsibility, which means you are responsible for medical investigations, assessments, and treatments of patients. You work in teams consisting of knowledgeable colleagues, providing opportunities for continuous exchange of knowledge and experience.
The role includes administrative work, on-call duties, and supervision. We expect you to be active in the education of students and future specialists. Furthermore, you are expected to drive and participate in change and improvement work where patient flows and processes are in focus. Your role involves collaboration with medical colleagues as well as other professional groups within the unit.
Travel within the county may be included.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you with a specialist certificate as a doctor in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Furthermore, we also consider personal suitability, seeking someone who is positive, easy to collaborate with, clear in communication, and has the courage to approach people and build trust. We believe you are confident in yourself and have the ability to adapt when needed. You handle stressful situations well and have the ability to independently structure your work.
Verification of medical license and all relevant specialist certificates via the National Board of Health and Welfare (HOSP) as well as information retrieval from IVO will take place when the application is received.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Roster/Schedule.
If your merits have not been expert-reviewed previously, this must be done prior to commencement in accordance with the Ordinance (1998:1518) on eligibility for certain appointments in health and social care, etc.
