We are now looking for a Tech Lead in Azure Cloud & Modern Workplace who wants to help complete our cloud journey, reduce consultant dependency, and develop our technical platform for the future.

Here, you will have a key role combining strategy and architecture with a clear hands-on component. You will act as a technical guide whom others turn to for advice, decisions, and progress – and you enjoy testing, labbing, and truly understanding the technology.

About the Role

As Tech Lead Azure Cloud & Modern Workplace, you have overall responsibility for shaping and developing Kommuninvest's IT infrastructure (cloud and on-prem) as well as the modern workplace. The role is broad but with a clear focus: approximately 60% strategic (architecture, principles, roadmap, advisory) and 40% operationally close (hands-on, validation, technical coaching, support in complex issues).

You will become part of Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), a tightly knit team with high competence, low ego, and a strong drive to build smart, sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities and Tasks

You will, among other things:

• Set the technical direction and develop architecture, solution design, and principles for Azure Cloud and modern workplace.
• Contribute to and drive the roadmap for our continued modernization (on-prem → cloud).
• Act as a technical mentor and advisor to the team and be the "go-to" person for Azure architecture and infrastructure issues as well as M365/Identity.
• Support the department in developing working methods, competence, and solutions.
• Work with cost optimization (FinOps) and help us take control of cloud costs and footprint.
• Strengthen security-by-design in everything we do, in close collaboration with the information security function.
• Contribute to automating and centralizing key processes (e.g., identities, accounts, permissions, and ITSM flows).
• Collaborate with external suppliers (e.g., MDR) and drive quality in deliveries, controls, and monitoring.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Several years of experience in a role within Azure Cloud and/or Modern Workplace (we are thinking senior level – but assess the whole picture).
• Documented experience in architecture and solution design, including developing principles, guidelines, and trade-offs.
• A good understanding of working in environments with high requirements for security, stability, and traceability.

Technically, we would like you to have expertise in two of the areas below and good breadth in the others:

• Microsoft Azure
• Microsoft Entra (Identity & Access)
• Microsoft Intune / Endpoint
• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Defender / security solutions in the Microsoft ecosystem

Meritorious:

• Experience from finance or other operations with clear regulatory requirements.
• ITIL/ITSM experience (incident/change, case management, working methods).
• Experience with cost management in the cloud (FinOps).

Certifications are meritorious but not a requirement. We value practical experience and the ability to apply knowledge in everyday work. The position requires excellent proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, as the role involves communication and documentation in Swedish.
