About the Workplace

Olovslundskolan is located in western Jakobsberg. The school has approximately 620 students from preschool class up to grade 6, and we also have an adapted primary school for students in grades 1–6.

The adapted primary school has approximately 30 students distributed across 5 classes. Students at the adapted primary school have intellectual disabilities (ID), and many students have additional diagnoses such as autism, ADHD, and speech disorders.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged and confident teacher for instruction in the subjects of music, crafts (slöjd), and visual arts.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the teaching, primarily at the adapted primary school but also at the regular primary school. There are good opportunities for collaboration with our other PREST teachers.

The position is fixed-term for the school year 2026/2027 (with the possibility of extension).

• Plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. You develop students' ability to learn and involve them in the planning of operations. You have high and positive expectations for students and are solution-focused. Furthermore, you have a strong desire to work to create the best pedagogical conditions for students.
• Have a positive attitude towards work and act in accordance with decisions, operational plans, goals, policies, and guidelines.
• Have good self-insight, are confident in yourself and your pedagogical leadership, and have the ability to take leadership both inside and outside the classroom. You work independently and are flexible.

Requirements:

• Teacher education for grades 1–6.

Merits:

• Previous experience in pedagogical work.
• Previous experience teaching music, crafts, and visual arts.
• Previous experience working with students in need of special support.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

Employment Terms

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer (school year 26/27).
