WORKPLACE HAGFORS SCHOOL AREA

The Hagfors school area comprises operations including preschool, preschool class, after-school centers, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults, youth clubs, school and public libraries, arts school, as well as a specific responsibility for culture in Hagfors Municipality.

The comprehensive schools are located at Älvstranden Education Centre in Hagfors, Kyrkheden School in Ekshärad, as well as in Sunnemo and Råda. The upper secondary school and adult education are located at Älvstranden Education Centre in Hagfors. Within the Hagfors school area, there are 4.0 positions as school nurses. The current position is located within the comprehensive school in Hagfors.

DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

You will be part of the joint student health service for children and education, where you report to one of the comprehensive school principals. You are part of the comprehensive school's student health team led by the principal, ensuring close collaboration with other student health professionals and educators, as well as working in a team with other school nurses. We work together to ensure our students reach their goals and realize their future dreams.

The school nurse's duties include monitoring students' development towards knowledge goals, promoting health and prevention, implementing vaccination programs according to national guidelines, organizing school doctor consultations, following the base program, and performing minor healthcare interventions.

You are interested in working with preventive health work as well as managing other routine tasks to ensure a well-functioning medical student health service. You have a desire to further develop a modern school nurse role and the collective student health service together with the student health team, educators, and other colleagues in Hagfors Municipality's medical student health service.

As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians as well as other activities and authorities outside of school. You work towards a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. The role also involves documentation in digital tools.

The role involves collaboration between the different professional categories in the team to develop preventive and promoting health work. Your commitment and expertise are an important part of the whole and the quality of the school.

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education as a pediatric nurse, district nurse, or school nurse. Experience with digital tools is meritorious. If you have previously worked as a school nurse or have experience in health-promoting work with children and young people, we view this very positively. In your role, it is important that you have good cooperation skills and are responsible. You communicate easily and have a great interest in meeting different people with different backgrounds and prerequisites. You have a good ability to build good relationships with employees, children/students, and colleagues.

As a person, you are characterized by a positive attitude and a solution-focused and flexible work approach. You have good IT skills, are communicative, and can express yourself clearly and correctly in both speech and writing. We want to contribute to students' opportunities to learn and grow. A driver's license with category B is required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. According to the School Act (2010:800), a certificate of good conduct from the Swedish Police Authority is required to work in preschool activities, school, or childcare.
