The Elderly Care in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.
Skräddarens Care and Support Housing is centrally located in Teg, approximately 1.5 km from Umeå city center, with close proximity to the Ume River and beautiful green areas. The housing facility has 47 apartments distributed over three floors, with each floor consisting of two smaller units.
We are now looking forward to welcoming two new colleagues to our team!
Your Responsibilities
With a professional approach and good interpersonal skills, you assist our residents in their daily lives. The resident's right to participate is in focus, and you contribute to ensuring that interventions are carried out with high quality, in accordance with the decision on support measures and the implementation plan.
You will assist with tasks such as showering, laundry, cleaning, meals, and other services. Your duties also include documenting actions and health status, as well as medical tasks delegated by the responsible nurse.
Scheduled working hours: days, evenings, and weekends.
About You
We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant (undersköterska) and would preferably have experience from elderly care.
Meeting with residents requires good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and a well-developed empathetic ability. You show great commitment to both users and the organization in all your relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently, are patient and proactive, while also having a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professions.
To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and read care documentation, and receive medical delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Heavy lifting occurs, and transfer aids must be used. Fur-bearing animals are occasionally present at the workplace, so you should not be allergic.
Other Information:
- The positions are permanent, full-time, starting from 2026-08-31 or as agreed, with working hours scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
- We check ID documents for candidates we interview.
- Before an employment offer is made, we ask you to provide an extract from the police's criminal record register. This is done as a final step in the recruitment process.
