We offer three exciting positions where you will work with people in both ordinary and special housing settings within their own environment. We are in a dynamic period of development and transition to meet future care needs with an aging population and more advanced medical care.

The Social Services Department is responsible for interventions, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and the Health and Medical Services Act. We are now looking for you who want to become part of our wonderful team.

Those who work here are nurses, MAS (Master of Advanced Studies in Nursing), assistant nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and coordinators working in close collaboration. We are a team that supports each other, shares knowledge, and takes joint responsibility for the whole.

We can also offer competence development and internal training through our newly opened competence center, which is directed at employees within both health and medical care as well as care and support services.

Job Responsibilities

You will have an independent, varied, and developing role as a nurse where you are responsible for health and medical care interventions in the patient's home and/or in special housing. The work is varied, stimulating, and offers great opportunities for professional development.

You plan the work based on the patient's individual needs and conditions, in close dialogue with the patient, relatives, doctors, care and support staff, and other collaborating partners. You are responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and follow-up of healthcare interventions. This also includes delegations and supervision of care and support staff.

The work is scheduled with mainly daytime hours and is based from the home healthcare office or special housing. Weekend duty is every 5th weekend, where a shorter part of the work shift involves working alone in ordinary housing, special housing, and LSS settings.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with several years of experience. It is an advantage if you have experience of municipal home healthcare, inpatient care, and preferably specialist nurse education as a district nurse or with a focus on elderly care.

You have the ability to work independently, make medical assessments, make your own decisions, handle stress constructively, and handle complex situations professionally. As a person, you are calm, secure, stable, and responsible. You always put the patient at the center and are driven by contributing to development and high care quality.

To thrive in the role, you also need to be flexible, change-oriented, and able to see opportunities in new ways of working and changes.

A B-class driver's license is required.

Before employment can take place, an extract from the criminal record register for work in the home with elderly people and persons with disabilities must be presented.
