Are you studying IT and looking for a developmental summer job? Then this role is for you! On behalf of Spendrups, we are looking for summer staff for the Service Desk in Grängesberg. We are conducting rolling selections, so submit your application today!
About the role
Spendrups is a genuine family-owned business driven by the fourth generation, with several family members actively involved as passionate leaders at the heart of the operations. The organization comprises 1,100 employees working in Grängesberg, Hällefors, Visby, Stockholm, and at all terminals and sales offices across Sweden. Their core operations are located in the breweries, where they produce world-class beer, as well as other products like soft drinks and mineral water.
As a Service Desk employee, you are the first point of contact for your colleagues regarding IT support. You will receive, categorize, and resolve IT-related cases, providing user support via both the case management system and through phone and email. The IT environment is primarily Microsoft-based, with many Office 365-related cases, but a significant part of the role involves supporting production with hands-on technology such as truck computers and label printers. Your base will be in Grängesberg, but you may visit the operations in Hällefors to support colleagues on-site if needed.
The role starts immediately and the need extends until August 31st, with a possibility of extension. During the remainder of the term, your schedule will be adapted to your studies, after which you will transition to full-time work Monday-Friday during office hours.
What we offer
- A developmental role in a crucial IT support function
- The opportunity to work in a fantastic company culture with lovely colleagues and a great atmosphere - at Spendrups, the culture is characterized by openness, and your ideas are highly valued
Responsibilities
- Handle incoming cases via phone, email, and case management system, ensuring they are logged correctly
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues such as login problems, network issues, software questions, and hardware-related problems.
- Participate in internal meetings and training to continuously improve skills and service delivery
- Update and maintain cases in the case management system for traceability and follow-up, ensuring fast and accurate documentation
- Provide user support and guidance on IT-related issues, including Microsoft 365, VPN, remote access, and various business applications
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in Active Directory and other systems
As IT support, you are also responsible for documenting solutions, creating guides, and contributing to the knowledge base to improve self-service options. You test and evaluate new IT solutions and report any improvement suggestions to the IT department. For more complex cases, you escalate them to the appropriate support level according to existing procedures and follow up on escalated cases. Additionally, you provide remote support and guide users through technical issues.
We are looking for someone who
- Is studying a post-secondary education of at least 50%, with a focus on data technology, IT, systems science, network technology, or similar
- Has knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic network technology; knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID is a plus
- Can communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and has good knowledge of English, as this is required for the job
- Has a B-driver's license and preferably access to a car, or another clear plan for how you will get to work
It is an advantage if you have
- Previous experience working in IT support
- Experience with case management systems
- Experience with Cisco Meraki network solutions, HP Printers, and Azure
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:
- Helpful – You enjoy supporting your colleagues and ensure they receive the IT support they need quickly and professionally.
- Social – You are good at communicating and building good relationships, both with technically skilled colleagues and those who need extra guidance.
- Organized – You keep structure in your cases, ensure nothing falls through the cracks, and document solutions for future efficiency.
- Responsible – You take initiative, ensure problems are solved, and dare to take responsibility for providing improvement suggestions to the IT support within the organization.
For this recruitment, we will place great emphasis on personality and suitability for the role. As a person, you care about giving people around you a good personal treatment and thrive in a social work environment. A background check and credit check will be conducted on the candidate who is hired for the assignment, and this must be approved by Spendrups' security department before starting the position.
