About Us

Åbyskolan is a fantastic F-6 school located in the heart of Västerhaninge, with approximately 450 students and 50 dedicated and competent staff members. By this autumn, we will have 100% certified teachers. We are very proud of this. Åbyskolan has a special focus on language development and mathematics.

At Åbyskolan, we know that good reading skills are crucial for students' ability to develop knowledge. Therefore, we work with language development in all school subjects. This strengthens our students' learning and prepares them for the future!

About the Position

Åbyskolan is now looking for two craft teachers (slöjd) for an exciting assignment focused on continuing to develop the school for the future! Are you a driven educator who is passionate about supporting students' development? Then this is the job for you!

To thrive in this assignment, you need to be a secure person who creates a stable and inclusive environment where students feel seen and heard. We are looking for two individuals who are forward-looking, ambitious, and believe in every student's ability to develop.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in wood, metal, and textile crafts, and have experience working in the craft subject with children and young people.

You should have the student's best interests at heart, be able to see students' equal needs, apply a relational approach, and thereby create the best conditions for each individual student. Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians is therefore a given for us.

You should be flexible and have an easy time collaborating, as we place great value on collegial learning.
