We offer you a developing job in a workplace where personal responsibility is woven together with team spirit. Here we run a general speech therapy clinic and work with several different diagnostic groups such as language disorders, voice, and stuttering. Our assignment also includes neuro-linguistics in inpatient and outpatient care. The work is largely based at the clinic, but preschool visits and home visits also occur. Together with speech therapy colleagues, medical secretaries, ENT doctors, and colleagues at the medical clinic, we are part of various teams, all to meet the patient's needs in the best possible way. With a person-centered approach in an innovative and positively changing workday, we are in the middle of an initiative for the county's rehabilitation medicine patients.

The work also includes tasks such as handling incoming referrals, appointment booking, and telephone advice. Working hours are weekdays during the day, located at Oskarshamn Hospital.

About You

We are looking for two enthusiastic speech therapists to join our team. One one-year fixed-term position, with a chance of extension, and one permanent position. It would be great to attract you as an experienced speech therapist, while we also welcome applications from you who are newly graduated. Regardless of your experience, you will be well taken care of by your new colleagues when you start with us, with guiding support in your daily work.

We consider it an advantage if you have interest and experience with patient groups within voice and neurology. As a person, you are proactive, independent, and flexible. You also have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your Future Workplace

The speech therapy clinic is one of six smaller clinics under the same roof that together form the specialist clinic. Here we have close exchange and support from colleagues within eye, skin, gynecology, child, and ENT clinic operations.

The specialist clinic receives a broad patient group, from newborn babies to the very elderly who in different ways need specialist assessment and treatment. Every week, our clinic is staffed with doctors from Västervik Hospital within their respective areas. Together, medical secretaries, nurses, assistant nurses, opticians, audiologists, and speech therapists work in the same premises, which provides a collegial added value and knowledge exchange. We start every day with morning exercises and gladly exchange both experiences and recipes with each other during coffee breaks.
