Your Responsibilities

The assignment starts on August 3rd and runs throughout the autumn term (until week 52). As a study and career counselor, you work closely with students, focusing on guidance for future educational choices. You conduct counseling sessions and support students in their upper secondary school choices as well as in matters related to studies and their future. You are responsible for and follow up on practicum (prao) related matters and act as a support in the students' processes towards their next steps. The assignment also includes ongoing contact with guardians and collaboration with other functions within the school. You are part of the Student Health Team (SHT) and participate in meetings and conferences related to student development and goal achievement. The work involves close collaboration with school leadership, teachers, and other staff. The position is shared between two schools, meaning you will work in different contexts and contribute with continuity and support in the counseling work at both units.

Your Profile

You are a trained study and career counselor and have experience working in schools, preferably at the compulsory school level. You are confident in your role and accustomed to working independently while collaborating closely with colleagues and the Student Health Team. You have good knowledge of the regulatory documents related to study and career counseling and are comfortable with issues concerning upper secondary school choices, practicum, and students' future educational paths. Since the assignment is divided between two schools, it is important that you are flexible in your working methods and adapt easily to different contexts and working styles. You are communicative, relationship-building, and have an easy time establishing trust with students, colleagues, and guardians. Furthermore, you are structured and thrive in a role where you take responsibility and drive your work forward. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
