We are looking for dedicated and responsible summer substitutes for the elderly care in Haninge Municipality. To work with us this summer, you must be available to work on a schedule during weeks 26-29 or 30-33. We prefer candidates who can work both periods. The schedule includes day/evening shifts and every other weekend. There is also an opportunity for extra work before the summer. Previous experience or studies in healthcare and social services are meritorious.
We are looking for summer substitutes for our operations within:
- Home care (driving license is an advantage but not a requirement)
- Care and nursing homes (day/evening and night staff)
- Day activities/Meeting points
- Alarm and Night group
Here you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and contribute to a positive and secure environment for the elderly. As a summer substitute, you will work together with experienced colleagues who are dedicated to providing the best possible care and support. To ensure that our employees have the linguistic competence required for the role, we apply language tests in the recruitment process. This is part of our work to maintain good communication and service at all levels.
Responsibilities
In the role of summer substitute within elderly care in Haninge Municipality, you will play an important and responsible role in ensuring safe and quality care for the recipient. Your main responsibility includes supporting and caring for the elderly in their daily lives and activities. It is crucial that you are independent and can take initiative, while also being flexible and adapting to the recipient's needs.
Your specific responsibilities include:
- Offering support and care to elderly people in their daily activities.
- Creating and maintaining trusting relationships with the recipient to promote their well-being.
- Personal care such as toilet visits and showering, moving, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Working in close cooperation with colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Having an empathetic and holistic view of each individual.
- Planning and carrying out activities that stimulate both physically and mentally, adapted to the individual's needs and wishes.
Through your work, you will have the opportunity to influence and improve the quality of life for many elderly people, which is a meaningful and rewarding task.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are empathetic and have a holistic view when it comes to care and support. Having a structured work method will help you prioritize and handle tasks effectively.
To work within elderly care in Haninge, you must be 18 years of age and provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record register) before employment.
