Vittra Schools, one of Sweden's leading independent school companies with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8,000 children and students and have around 1,000 employees. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest education company in the Nordics, since 2008. Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are formed who are given the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We do this with our unique pedagogical approach based on three parts: conscious learning, courageous culture, and clear structure.

Do you have a passion for crafts, creativity, and design? Make a difference for our students in grades 3–9.

Are you a confident leader who can inspire students to explore materials, tools, and their own ideas in the craft workshops? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you at Vittra Vallentuna. We are now looking for an engaged and certified craft teacher (wood and metal) for a permanent position.

With us, you get the chance to work in an environment characterized by community, a clear pedagogical focus, and a strong belief in every individual's potential.

Your role

The position is a full-time permanent employment. As a craft teacher for grades 3–9, you play an important role in following the students' development from their first steps in the craft workshops to the more complex projects in lower secondary school.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Teaching: You are responsible for teaching in crafts with a focus on wood and metal for students in grades 3–9.

  • Pedagogical focus: You create an inspiring and safe environment in the craft workshops where theory meets practical creation. You spark students' curiosity for craftsmanship, design, and sustainability, and are responsible for planning, implementation, assessment, and documentation.

  • Mentorship: You function together with a colleague as a mentor for a group of students. You have a holistic perspective on their development, are responsible for development talks, and are the natural contact point for both students and guardians.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach crafts (wood and metal) for grades 3–9.

  • Inspiring leader: You have a confident leadership style, with a strong focus on safety and structure in the craft workshops, and create an environment characterized by study peace and mutual respect.

  • Pedagogical skill: You have the ability and willingness to meet students of different ages, make the subject relevant, and meet each student with high expectations.

  • Relationship builder: You are outgoing and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents, which is central to your role as a mentor.

  • Flexible and structured: You enjoy planning your teaching and material purchases so that the operations become both clear, safe, and engaging.

We offer

Vittra Vallentuna is a preschool–grade 9 school centrally located with proximity to both nature and transportation. We work based on Vittra's pedagogical idea, where we look at the whole student's development – both academically and personally.

  • Continuous competence development through AcadeMedia Academy.

  • Benefits according to collective agreement, wellness allowance, and pension counseling.
