Description of Field

Business Administration at KTH belongs to the field of Industrial Economics, with a specific connection to the specialization in Industrial Economics and Management. The subject covers the planning, management, and development of business processes, resources, and flows, including production, logistics, and supply chains. Responsibilities

• Teaching at the undergraduate level, with a primary focus on ME1308 Operations Management, including lectures, exercises, and seminars.
• Examination at the undergraduate level, such as grading exams, assessing assignments, and participating in oral examinations.
• Course responsibility, development, and pedagogical renewal of ME1308 and related undergraduate courses, including updating course materials, case studies, and digital learning resources.
• Supervisor for bachelor's theses (KEX) in operations management and related areas.
• Administrative support.

Qualifications

To be eligible for appointment as an Assistant Professor, the candidate must have:

• A completed degree at the first-cycle or second-cycle level within the field of employment, or equivalent competence.
• Professional skills that are significant in view of the subject content and duties of the position.
• Demonstrated pedagogical skill.

Assessment Criteria

The assessment criteria for appointment as an Assistant Professor at KTH are specified in Section 1.5 of KTH's Employment Regulations, in relation to the established employment profile.

It is of highest importance that the applicant has

• Pedagogical skill. The assessment of pedagogical skill should also concern the person's ability to develop as a teacher in the long term.
• Subject-specific skill relevant to the content of the position.

It is of second highest importance that the applicant has

• Professional skill relevant to the content of the position.
• Professional experience outside higher education.

It is also of importance that the applicant has

• Competence and experience regarding research and development work within the field of study.
• University teaching education.
• Administrative skill.
• Ability to collaborate with the surrounding society.
• Ability to develop and lead operations and personnel, as well as collaboration skills. This includes knowledge of diversity and equal treatment issues with a special focus on gender equality.
