Who are we?

With our approximately 4,000 employees, the Care and Social Services Department is the municipality's second-largest office. Our main task is to meet the needs for support, care, and social services for people at different stages of life. We are also responsible for providing meals to preschools, schools, and the operations of the Care and Social Services Department. Bygdevägen 15 is a special housing facility with 60 apartments distributed across 7 units. There are special places for people with dementia. The facility is located on Vikbolandet in Östra Husby.

We are now looking for a nursing assistant on a fixed-term contract for one of the unit's dementia departments who wants to contribute to a secure and dignified existence for the residents.

Your responsibilities

As a nursing assistant with us, you will become part of a friendly and very experienced team that helps and supports each other in the daily work.

The role involves supporting residents with personal care, meals, activities, and exercise. Your duties also include documentation, contact person responsibilities, creating implementation plans, follow-ups, medication management, as well as care of apartments and common areas.

You work in close cooperation with your nursing assistant colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Together, you ensure that those who live with us are well and receive the help and support they desire and need. The goal is always for the user to have the opportunity to continue living an active life with a meaningful daily routine.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations and who have experience working within care and social services and providing nursing care. We would appreciate it if you had documented education in dementia care and good knowledge of dementia diseases.

We see that you have a genuine interest in people and are confident in yourself. You are willing to take responsibility, with good ability to plan and organize and make clear and rational decisions. You are good at meeting different types of people and consider each individual's personal characteristics, needs, and integrity. You are flexible and can adapt to changed circumstances and can quickly change your approach and working methods.

You contribute with a positive attitude to work to create good cooperation and a good working environment together. You also have the ability to cooperate and apply new working methods both independently and in a group.

Furthermore, you have the ability to meet people from different situations and are empathetic by putting yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings.
