The Department of Urology in Östergötland is part of the Center for Surgery, Orthopaedics and Cancer Care (CKOC). The department is responsible for patients and residents in the Region of Östergötland and serves as the regional clinic for the South-Eastern Healthcare Region, covering a total population of 1 million. Our units are located in both Linköping and Norrköping. At the clinic, we conduct investigations for benign and malignant urological conditions and perform a number of minor surgical procedures. We also manage follow-up care for a large group of patients treated for urological cancer.

Job Description
As a Contact Nurse, you are responsible for ensuring that care in every situation maintains the right quality and is based on the patient's individual needs and resources. You run your own clinic sessions and participate in certain doctor visits. You are flexible and can adapt to each given situation. You work with counseling in our telephone service and via 1177. In the team at the clinic, you collaborate with nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors, and actively work to create a positive climate in the workplace. We offer permanent employment within outpatient care. If there is interest, we can offer rotation to inpatient care when needed, which can be a way to enhance your competence.
The Team
At our unit, nurses work with long experience in urology. We are trained as general nurses, specialist nurses, urotherapists, stoma therapists, and cystoscopists. The team also includes nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and dietitians. As a Contact Nurse, you are part of a specific diagnostic group together with a doctor, nursing assistant, and healthcare administrator. You run your own clinic sessions alongside experienced colleagues, and there are great opportunities for competence development.
About You
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse and have a strong interest in surgical and urological nursing. You are an experienced nurse with at least two years of work experience in healthcare. It is meritorious if you have a degree in urological nursing, have completed incontinence training, or have experience in urological or surgical care. It is also meritorious if you have worked in outpatient care and have experience with the medical record system Cosmic, the callback system TeleQ, and the Office package. Since you communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing are required.
You are calm, confident, and able to adapt to changing circumstances. You vary your approach depending on the situation. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. The job requires self-responsibility, coordination skills, flexibility, and good communication skills. You cooperate easily and can work both independently and in teams with other professional groups. We expect you to have a positive and professional attitude with the patient in focus. You listen, communicate, and solve problems constructively. You are meticulous and quality-conscious.

We offer a permanent position at 100%. The role involves outpatient care, and if there is interest and need, we can offer rotation to inpatient care, which can be competence-enhancing.
