Department 14 Mava/Stroke at the Hospital in Motala is part of the medical specialist clinic, providing primary care in western Östergötland. We are approximately 35 employees who, together with the clinic, provide internal medicine care around the clock to the population in the western part of the county. Our common focus is to offer emergency care with good patient safety and a welcoming attitude.
Department 14 Mava/Stroke is an inpatient department focusing on internal medicine diseases and stroke care, divided into two care teams. Stroke care is provided through interdisciplinary collaboration between different professional categories in a stroke team. The goal of our care is to provide the patient with a cohesive stroke care process where acute care is combined with early rehabilitation and good nursing care. In the Mava care team, patients with various internal medicine diseases are treated, such as infections, endocrine, hematological, lung, gastrointestinal diseases, as well as chronic heart diseases.
By working at Mava/Stroke, you will acquire broad competence in both internal medicine diseases and stroke care. Here, we continuously work with education and training, both large and small. We work with active employee participation by distributing areas of responsibility among all our employees.
