About the role
The role involves driving development work and projects within well-being, comfort, and health promotion for the elderly, based on current research and evidence, thereby influencing and developing the operations.
You play a key role in leading our Profile/Activities Council, where all activity representatives from the departments participate. Here, we plan joint holidays, music events, and activities. You also support your colleagues in carrying out smaller activities on the wards. You collaborate with all staff in the operation to offer the residents the best possible meaningful day. You have extensive knowledge of the operation's agreements and, together with management, are responsible for planning and executing what we promise in our concept and agreements. Your direct manager is the Unit Manager.
You are also part of a network with activity coordinators in the region/country and keep yourself updated on the broader environment. An important part of the role is managing our social media, such as Facebook and Instagram, keeping them updated with current information and images. As an Activities Coordinator, you establish contacts and develop good collaborations with local organizations, schools, municipalities, volunteers, media, etc.
You get to influence by taking initiative for activities within the operation. This may involve leading exciting projects to benefit the residents and applying for grants/subsidies for these initiatives.
About Polhemsgården
Polhemsgården in Solna consists of 80 apartments with a dementia focus, as well as the day activity center Lyktan. Polhemsgården has nature and gardens as its profile. Outdoor activities and activities in nature, parks, and gardens are natural parts of our daily life. We work with different nature themes throughout the year.
Dementia Certification
We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone working here is trained in dementia and interaction via Silviahemmet.
Youth Care
We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg engages in various activities with us, adding extra value to the lives of our residents.
Your experience and knowledge

It is an advantage if you have an interest in gardening, can play the guitar or another instrument. We want you to have good computer skills, experience working with social media, and experience applying for grants/subsidies.
