About the Department

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric (BUP) unit is located in Östersund and serves as a resource for the entire county of Jämtland. Organizationally, BUP is part of the "Children and Young Adults" area, which also includes Child and Adolescent Habilitation (BUH), Parent and Child Health Services (FBH), and Adult Habilitation (VH). These units are co-located in Östersund at Köpmangatan 24, offering excellent opportunities for collaboration within BUP and with other units in the building.

Currently, around 30 psychologists with broad competence and experience work at BUP. There are plenty of psychologist colleagues for exchanging experiences, knowledge, and ideas, with great opportunities for development for both you and the organization.

We are now looking for Legitimized Psychologists and PTP Psychologists

We need to expand our team with an additional 5 positions for Legitimized Psychologists and PTP (Post-Graduate Training in Psychology) Psychologists.

Job Description

As a Legitimized Psychologist: You will be part of one of our general psychiatric outpatient teams. We are looking for legitimized psychologists who want to work with the full spectrum of child psychiatric assessment and treatment. The role also involves collaborating with care partners, usually social services and school health services. Opportunities for advanced tasks regarding different treatment methods (such as internet-based therapy, group therapy, etc.) or specific treatments for different diagnostic groups are available. Please indicate in your application if you have such preferences.

As a PTP Psychologist: Alongside your regular duties, you will participate in the region's PTP training program. This includes clinical training days, study visits, regular PTP meetings, and supervision sessions. Our training clinics include adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, habilitation, primary care, parent and child health, brain injury rehabilitation, and pain clinics. We also have an established and appreciated collaboration with the Psychology program at Mid Sweden University.

Qualifications

Legitimized Psychologist: Experience from work within child and adolescent psychiatry and trauma treatment is meritorious. Opportunities exist for specialist training in neuropsychology, psychological treatment, or clinical child and adolescent psychology. Psychologists with specialist competence are offered positions as specialist psychologists.

PTP Psychologist: A degree in Psychology. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, engagement, teamwork skills, and flexibility. Experience working with children and parents is meritorious.
